CIRQUE DU SOLEIL CASTING TEAM TO HOLD AUDITIONS IN ORLANDO FOR DANCERS IN SEPTEMBER 2012! Montreal, August 6, 2012 – Cirque du Soleil is seeking new talent for on-call positions in La Nouba, the resident show presented at Walt Disney World® Resort and will be holding auditions for dancers in Orlando in September 2012.

At the core of the creative energy of Cirque du Soleil shows are athletes, acrobats and artists at the pinnacle of their art. Each artist is an integral part of the originality of Cirque du Soleil productions, and everyone’s contribution is essential to the success of the cast. Throughout the year, Cirque’s scouts keep a close eye on the world of dance to remain up to date on the disciplines and the remarkable accomplishments of artists. Auditions are held around the world to discover and assess new artists. The Casting team is always looking to discover new candidates, and it believes the best way to do so is to give artists and athletes the chance to show what they can do in person.

During this visit to Florida, the Cirque du Soleil casting team will be especially on the lookout for: PROFESSIONAL MALE AND FEMALE BALLET DANCERS REQUIREMENTS: STRONG CLASSICAL TECHNIQUE EXPERIENCE WITH A PROFESSIONAL BALLET COMPANY PARTNERING SKILLS GREAT STAGE PRESENCE AND CHARISMA MALE: IDEAL HEIGHT 5’9 AND OVER FEMALE: IDEAL HEIGHT 5’3 TO 5’8 – SOLID POINTE WORK REQUIRED PLEASE NOTE ONLY ARTISTS LIVING IN THE GREATER ORLANDO AREA WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR ON-CALL POSITIONS.
