“Bayside! The Musical!” is the hilarious and unauthorized parody of TV’s “SAVED BY THE BELL” from the twisted minds behind “Showgirls! The Musical!” “Bayside!” is coming to Off-Broadway's Theater80 in Fall 2013. MediumFace Productions Bob and Tobly McSmith, Writer-Director; Tobly McSmith, Exec. First rehearsal: August 3, 2013 First Performance: September 12, 2013 You must be able to carry a tune and sell the song. Excellent comedic timing is a must. Must be able to move well. Casting breakdowns are below: Male / 18-24 yrs. / Caucasian Zack: He's the most popular guy in the high school. Totally laid back and confident. Always has the latest cell phone. Broken hearted and out to win back the girl of his dreams. Female / 18-24 yrs. / Caucasian Kelly: She's the most popular girl in high school. A cheerleader who isn't good at math or reading. Kelly loves volleyball and has trouble counting to ten. Also, she might be pregnant. Male / 30-50 yrs. / Caucasian Mr. Belding/Max: High school principal. He's a quirky father figure for the rowdy high school kids. His advice doesn't always make sense. He might have killed his wife. This actor must be flexible enough to throw on a wig and play a couple other small parts. Female / 18-24 yrs. / African-American Lisa: This shopaholic only does two things: shops and gossips. She wears outrageous hats and causes trouble constantly. Male / 18-24 yrs. / Caucasian Screech: He's the biggest dork in the high school. He loves science, chess, and bright clothing. Torn between two lovers, he must make the most important decision of his life. This character can be played by a man or woman. Male / 18-24 yrs. / Caucasian / Hispanic AC Slater: This guy has muscles and knows how to use them. He can be a bully. He doesn't think women should have equal rights.
