Now casting actors of all diversities for Theatre South Playhouse's professional production of ANNIE!

Orphans/Kids - (female presenting) seeking kids of all diversities age 9 and older who can appear ages 8-16.
*Orphans/kids will not be cast due to height or size. All sizes and heights are welcome!

Adults - seeking non-union male and female presenting actors for various roles.

*Many of the adult roles will be cast as multiple characters.
**We may be double casting the Orphans.

Please upload by JUNE 1st your Picture/Resume and a short video containing:
Orphans/kids - a 32 bar cut of a song in the style of the show, or from the show, and a short monologue of your choice.
Adults- 32 bars of a song in the style of the show and a comedic monologue.

Callbacks:

June 10th: Orphan dance call at 6pm, Adults at 8pm, Warbucks, Miss Hannigan and FDRs callbacks at 9pm
*Those only called for Daddy Warbucks and FDR will not need to attend the dance call.
June 12th: Additional vocal/scene work callbacks for Orphans and Adults.

Rehearsals: Begin on Wednesday the 21st of August
Wednesdays from 6:30-10:30pm (Children released at 9pm)
Thursdays from 6-10pm (Children released at 9pm)
Fridays from 6-10pm (Children released at 10pm)
Saturdays from 2-6pm
Tech Week: Saturday, October 26th - Wednesday, October 30th, *Kids may not be released until 10pm on tech week.
**No rehearsal on Halloween

Seeking actors of all ethnicities and racial backgrounds, all sexual orientations and gender identities, and all body types. *This is not a re-block of other productions. We are starting from a fresh slate and a new take on the classic story.

Pay: All actors will receive a flat fee stipend and an equal division of our 50/50 nightly raffle and actor tips.

Theatre South Playhouse in Dr. Phillips is now casting for our next main stage production of Puffs (The Full Two Act Version). Seeking a diverse cast of actors of all ages that can portray both teenagers and adults, and one actor of any age that can portray our narrator who, well... narrates.

*The Director is only seeing actors age 16 and up for this production.

For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs... who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world.

The New York Times proclaims PUFFS, “A FAST-PACED ROMP through the ‘Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic.’ For POTTERphiliacs who grew up alongside Potter and are eager to revisit that world, ‘PUFFS’ exudes a jovial, winking fondness for all things Harry!”

Auditions will be held on Monday, June 17th with time-slots beginning at 6:00pm.

*Some callbacks may be held on Tuesday, June 18th at 6-9pm.

Actors will be asked to read directly from the script. (A selection of sides will be emailed to you once you are registered for a time slot.)

Rehearsals start the morning of August 17th for a cast read- thru and will continue weekly:
Sundays 2:00-6:00pm
Mondays 6:30-10:30pm
Tuesday 6:00-10:00pm
With Tech Week beginning Sat Oct 5th

Puffs is part of the TSP Professional Main Stage Series. All actors will be paid a $200 show stipend and an equal share of our nightly 50/50 raffle drawing.
