Audition Dates - January 4th and 5th, 2020 12-5pm (KIDS ONLY)

February 10th and 11th 2020 at 7pm (ADULTS ONLY)

Possible Callbacks February 12th at 7pm

Location: Lake Worth Playhouse - 713 Lake Ave, Lake Worth FL 33460

Performance Schedule: April 9th - 26th, 2020

Rehearsal Schedule: TBD but typically take place on weeknights from approximately 6:30 to 10pm. Weekend rehearsals also may be added.

Available Roles:

Annie: Female. Must appear 11. Energetic and optimistic orphan. Sings Maybe and Tomorrow. Voice Range Low A to High F. Must sing, act and dance

Oliver Warbucks: Male. Must appear 40-65. May be asked to shave your head. Powerful billionaire, kind hearted. Sings Something Was Missing and I Don't Need Anything But You Vocal Range Baritone to high F. Must sing, act and move.

Grace Farrell: Female. Must appear 25-45. Loyal, intelligent private secretary to Warbucks. Sings I think I'm Gonna Like It Here, NYC, You Won't Be an Orphan For Long and I Don't Need Anything But You. Vocal Range Soprano to high G. Must sing, act and dance.

Miss Hannigan: Female. Must appear 35-55. Character/comedic actress. She is alcoholic orphanage matron. Sings Little Girls and Easy Street. Vocal Range Alto A to D. Must sing, act and move well.

Character Breakdown - Supporting Roles

Lily St. Regis: Female 20-35; Shady, floozy girlfriend of Rooster. Sings Easy Street Vocal Range: Soprano up to high G. Must sing, act and dance.

Rooster: Male 20-45. Character actor who plays Miss Hannigan's brother a slimy con artist. Sings Easy Street Vocal Range Tenor to high G. Must sing, act and dance.

Franklin D. Roosevelt: Male 40-65

Orphan Kids:

Duffy: Female 10-15 - oldest orphan

July: Female 9-14 - quietest orphan

Kate: Female 7-8 - next to youngest orphan

Molly: Female 6-9 - littlest orphan

Pepper: Female 9-14 - toughest orphan

Tessie: Female 9-14 - cry baby orphan

Sandy: Stray dog that Annie adopts.

Character Roles - Chorus/Ensemble:

Bert Healy: Male 30-60 - Classic announcer on a radio show of the era.

Non-singing role.

Lt. Ward: Male 20-60 - Policeman who questions Annie about Sandy. Non-singing role.

Bundles McCloskey: Male 20-60 - Laundryman for orphanage.

Minor speaking role.

Jimmy Johnson: Male 20-55

Fred McCracken: Male 20-55

The Boylan Sisters: Female 20-40

Harold Ickes: Male 20-60

Frances Perkins: Female 20-60

Cordell Hull: Male/Female 20-60

Henry Morganthau: Male/Female 20-60

Louis Howe: Male 20-60 - President Roosevelt's trustworthy aide.

Star to Be: Female 16-25 - Glamorous diva in NYC

Orphan Ensemble/Chorus: Females 9-14

Adult Ensemble/Chorus: Males/Females 16+

Requirements: Please prepare 16 bars of a Broadway song in the style of the show. An accompanist will be provided for you - please provide sheet music. In addition, smartphones and digital devices with an accompaniment track are accepted provided if it is cued correctly prior to your audition.

No Accapella auditions.

All those auditioning will also be taken through a basic dance audition.

Please come dressed to move.

Some actors may be asked to read from the script.

ABOUT LAKE WORTH PLAYHOUSE

Lake Worth Playhouse is located at 713 Lake Ave in Downtown Lake Worth. Valet Parking is $5 (when available). Street and lot parking is also available.

Lake Worth Playhouse is a non-profit community theatre with a diverse array of offerings, including award-winning dramas, comedies, musicals, area premieres, Broadway favorites, children's shows, ballets and operas on film, live concerts, improv comedy and alternative programming.
