In-person open call search for black male & female identifying actors/singers/dancers ages 20s/30s in Detroit for the North American tour of Ain’t Too Proud – The Life and Times of The Temptations.


Please prepare a short cut of a Motown-era song.
Please chose one of the following to prepare:
Bring sheet music in the correct key – an accompanist will be provided
Bring your own accompaniment track
You may sing A Capella


If you have one, please bring a photo of yourself and a resume

Seeking individuals to play The Classic Temptations: Otis Williams, David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks, Paul Williams, Melvin Franklin And Other Characters From The Motown Era: Berry Gordy, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross, Florence Ballard, Tammi Terrell And More!

Ain’t Too Proud - The Life and Times of The Temptations will play at Detroit Opera House, August 9 – 28, 2022. Tickets are available online at Ticketmaster.com, charge by phone (800) 982-2787, and in person at the Fisher Theatre Box Office.


Performance times for Ain’t Too Proud are:
Tuesday through Saturday evening performances at 8:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m.
Sunday evening performances at 7:30 p.m.
Special Open Caption performance on Sunday, August 14 at 7:30 p.m.
