About the Production/Casting Breakdown:

A Nightmarish Barroom Brouhaha is an ensemble-driven production created out of SST's 1st Annual Playwriting Competition.

Actors will have the opportunity to portray multiple roles.

The play features roles for actors of all genders aged 20s-40s. We strongly encourage non-binary/they/them identifying actors to audition. Additionally, we are specifically seeking 3 women of color aged 20s to 50s to join our cast.

Audition Requirements:

- In-person Auditions: Sides will be provided at the audition.

- Online Auditions: Downloadable sides and further information will be made available on our website (sunshinestatetheatre.com) on 8/15.

In-Person Audition Experience:

Check-in time begins at 12:30 PM. To ensure a smooth process, actors must arrive by 1:00 PM to participate in the audition. Please note that latecomers will not be seen to ensure fairness to all participants.

Audition Process:

Upon arrival, actors will be paired up and provided with sides to read, starting promptly at 1:15 PM. Some individuals may be asked to stay for further readings, while others may be excused. Leaving early doesn't affect your potential casting—it simply indicates that our casting team has seen the necessary qualities for the roles. Your professionalism and understanding are greatly appreciated.

Monologues Not Required:

We want to get to know your range and skills through the provided sides, so no monologues are necessary.

Casting Notification:

Casting notices will be distributed by the following week, keeping you informed about the outcome of the auditions.
