Titirangi Theater Holds Auditions For THE DEEP BLUE SEA 4/5
By: Gabrielle Sierra
Titirangi Theatre Presents The Deep Blue Sea - by Terence Ratigan
Season: 9th to 20th June
Set in London in 1955, this is the story of a woman's obsession for a man who is incapable of the kind of love he inspires in her.
Handsome, hard drinking ex World War 2 pilot Freddie, loves Hester after his fashion, but she cannot accept that his love will always be shallow and tepid at best. When Hester attempts to take her own life, Freddie is bewildered and aggrieved.
A quiet tragedy, rich in nuance and understanding of human nature.
Directed by Liz Watkinson
