Broadway Studio is the brainchild of two established professional performers and musical theatre graduates Jess Brien and Nick Purdie and features 10 different performers each month.

"We really wanted to provide another platform for the passionate musical theatre community here in Wellington to have more performance opportunities. Whether you are a professional performer, someone who is starting out or if you performed in the past and want to get back into it then this (Broadway Studio) is for you" Jess Brien discusses about the ideas behind creating the monthly showcase.

Starting its life in 2016 at BATS theatre the previous shows have enjoyed sold out shows and glowing feedback from audiences and the musical theatre community.

"So lovely and intimate with a supportive audience and nice flow of the evening, was a lot of fun" Matthew Pike - NZ Musical Theatre Professional
