Tarkanian Classic Brings High School Hoops to Orleans Arena 12/19

The Tarkanian Classic basketball tournament returns to the Orleans Arena as some of the most talented high school basketball players in the country take the court on Monday, Dec. 19.

Named after legendary UNLV basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian, the tournament will feature boys and girls high school basketball teams from across the country. Since its inception, the Tarkanian Classic has become one of the most popular prep tournaments in the nation, featuring high school players who have gone on to enjoy success in both the NCAA and the NBA. Teams from coast to coast will be represented in the tournament, and will be separated into four divisions for tournament play.

Tournament play begins at 10 a.m. Tickets start at $7 plus taxes and fees, and can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000, online at www.orleansarena.com, or in-person at gift shops inside The Orleans, Suncoast, Gold Coast and Sam's Town. Tickets may also be purchased the day of the tournament (depending upon availability) at the venue box office. Attendees must have ticket issued by a Boyd Gaming box office to access games at Orleans Arena; tickets from high school-site venue games will not be accepted.
