Southern Rep Presents ZOMBIE TOWN: A DOCUMENTARY PLAY at Le Chat Noir, 7/1-18

This summer Southern Rep launches its artistic residency at Le Chat Noir by satirizing eager theatre troupes, documentary plays, and zombie lore in one hilarious show. ZOMBIE TOWN: A DOCUMENTARY PLAY by Tim Bauer directed by Southern Rep Associate Artistic Director, Mark Routhier, marks the first Southern Rep@Le Chat Noir production.

This mock-umentary play tells the story of a San Francisco theatre collective that travels to Harwood, Texas, the site of a disturbing and devastating zombie attack, to interview the surviving citizens. This is the true recounting of that terrible invasion compiled from those interviews. This regional premiere of ZOMBIE TOWN stars Natalie Boyd, Kerry Cahill, Gamal Chasten, Chris Kaminstein, and Zach Rogers.

The production previews on July 1st, with Opening Night July 2nd, running through July 18th. Thursdays-Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 6pm. Tickets are on sale now for $25 and may be purchased at 504-581-5814, www.cabaretlechatnoir.com or www.SouthernRep.com.

Every Saturday night will be late night offerings such as special viewings of dark and twisted and hilariously campy Wild Eye Films at 10pm after each Saturday performance. Those with Zombie Town tickets get in free; without a Zombie Town ticket, admission is $5.

Moonshine Madness celebrates the new partnership of Southern Rep and Le Chat Noir, with a Live Auction with proceeds going to Southern Rep's new education initiative YO NOLA. A night of music and magic featuring Michael Cerveris, Ricky Graham, Leslie Castay with Sean Patterson as emcee and additional performances by AJ Allegra, Natalie Boyd, Bob Edes, Jr., Alan Payne, Lisa Picone, Dorian Rush, Jamie Wax and Trixie Minx of Fleur de Tease.
