JAMBALAYA: THE MUSICAL Comes to the Orpheum Theater
See Jambalaya the Musical LIVE at the Orpheum Theater in Downtown New Orleans on Thursday, January 24th at 8 pm. Doors open at 7 pm.
Acclaimed writer and choreographer Nancy Gregory directs the show, with music director Jeff Barry, a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame and 2010 recipient of the Ahmet Ertegun Award from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Barry's Billboard hits include "River Deep Mountain High," "Chapel of Love" and "Leader of the Pack."
Barry is part of a "Jambalaya" musical team that also includes composer Kennard Ramsey ("Beverly Hills 90210," "The X-Files"), Grammy-winning zydeco musician Chubby Carrier and other Louisiana songwriters.
Joe Stewart, a Lafayette native and Emmy Award winner with "Friends," "The Ellen Degeneres Show" and other TV programs, is the set designer for "Jambalaya."
