The Prep And Project Dance Announce Fundraising Cabaret For Zzak G. Applaud Our Kids Foundation The Prep and Project Dance are hosting a fundraising cabaret for Zzak G Applaud Our Kids Foundation to help raise funds for their organization to allow them to give out more scholarships to local youth for performing arts training in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. The event will be held at the Middletown Arts Center on Sunday, April 8th at 1pm and 4pm.

It will be an exciting afternoon of "kids helping kids" - both The Prep and Project Dance's students are looking forward to helping raise money for scholarships for kids who cannot afford voice lessons, dance classes, acting lessons, etc.

Theresa Pittius, Co-Owner of The Prep says, "We are honored to announce our partnership with the Zzak G. Applaud Our Kids Foundation Inc. This tremendous non-profit organization offers scholarships to young performing artists who wish to study at various arts schools & studios. We cannot say enough about the importance of organizations like this in our community, and are big supporters of the work they do."

The mission of the Zzak G. Applaud Our Kids Foundation is to provide opportunities for children to creatively express themselves by taking lessons in the various disciplines of the performing arts. Recently Charlize McKenna, a student from The Prep was awarded a scholarship where she will receive weekly or biweekly private acting lessons. She will also perform in both shows on April 8th.

Jodi Grinwald, founder of Zzak G. Applaud Our Kids Foundation, Inc. says, "We are truly blessed for partnerships like this one. Together with our studio partners we are making a difference in the lives of kids who need our help the most. These are children with a passion to take lessons in the performing arts. These lessons provide them with so much more than just the opportunity to take the stage. We are blessed to be working with people who truly care about the kids in our community."

Performing arts education contributes to the proactive development of an individual on many different levels. It provides children with the opportunity to find their own voice, increases self-esteem, gives them a sense of belonging, and provides an outlet for them to openly express themselves.

Beth Kepler, mother of scholarship recipient Charlize McKenna says, "I am feeling so blessed today. I couldn't ask for anything more than to watch my child realize her dreams, in the capable hands of Ms. Theresa and Ms. Jessi. Thanks to Jodi and the Zzak G. Applaud Our Kids Foundation, Inc. and their generous donors, my daughter will have that opportunity at Professional Performance Prep, 'The Prep.' This is literally, an answer to many prayers. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I love and appreciate you all."

The event will be held at Middletown Arts Center on Sunday, April 8th. For your convenience there are two show times to choose, 1 pm and 4 pm.
