State Theatre New Jersey Presents Savion Glover's ALL FUNKD' UP

State Theatre New Jersey presents Savion Glover's All FuNKD' Up on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 8pm. Savion Glover's All FuNKD' Up will highlight Glover's mesmerizing interplay of percussive genius. Glover will be appearing along with his six-piece band and company of dancers. Together they will illuminate his original grooves and compositions. Glover will also be doing a lecture/demonstration for select community groups earlier in the day on February 7. Tickets range from $25-$55.

Tony Award-winning tap dancer, choreographer, and producer, Savion Glover is celebrating his 35th year in show business. All FuNKD' Up marks Glover's newest innovative expression that continues to procure tap as sound and sound to music.

Glover has danced on concert stages throughout the world with legendary jazz musicians such as Jack DeJohnette, Roy Haynes, and McCoy Tyner. In his hometown of Newark, New Jersey, Glover holds the honor of being on the Board of Directors at the NJPAC where he also serves as NJPAC's Dance Ambassador. He is the founder of The HooFeRzCLuB School For Tap as well as Savion Glover Productions-a production entity highlighting the tradition of tap dancing and sound.

Glover's previous credits include The Tap Dance Kid, Black & Blue, Jelly's Last Jam, Bring in 'da Noise Bring in 'da Funk, the movie Tap with Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis, Jr., Spike Lee's Bamboozled, and the award winning 2006 Warner Brothers release of Happy Feet and Happy Feet 2, both choreographed by Glover. Most recently Glover can be recognized for his Tony nominated choreography in the acclaimed Broadway musical, Shuffle Along.
