Pushcart Players Celebrates 38 Years With 6/3 Fundraiser

Pushcart Players will celebrate 38 years of bringing theatre to young audiences throughout New Jersey and beyond with "A Royal Celebration," a fundraising event to be held on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Montclair Art Museum in Montclair, NJ from 2:00-5:00 p.m.

The afternoon will feature a performance of "Happily Ever After…A Cinderella Tale" followed by a Tea Party at the Palace, complete with dilectable food and drink, behind-the-scenes tours, photos with a favorite character from the show and the opportunity to tour the Montclair Art Museum. Pushcart Players will also host a silent auction during the afternoon tea. Attendees can bid online prior to the event, beginning May 13th at www.biddingforgood.com/njtheatrealliance/pushcartplayers, and the online portion will close the day before the event. A sampling of auction items includes: House seats to "hard to get" theatre productions, vacation packages, signed memorabilia, unique art, stunning jewelry items, personalized cooking classes, dress-up trunk for girls, dress up trunk for boys, Tea Sets fit for Royalty and much, much more.

"The economic climate in recent years has made it increasingly difficult to sustain our mission of bringing the arts to young people in their schools," said Ruth Fost, Executive/Artistic Director of Pushcart Players. "We are looking forward to this very special fundraising event for the company, which in turn will benefit thousands of young viewers throughout the state."

The advance sale admission cost for this benefit performance and delightful reception designed for all ages is $25 for children (12 and under) and $45 for adults. Reservations should be made by calling Pushcart at 973-857-1115 or emailing Pushcart atinformation@pushcartplayers.org.
