Aspire PAC has partnered with Music Theatre International (MTI) and iTheatrics and will be one of the first theatre companies to produce Mary Poppins Jr. prior to its official release. The pilot process allows MTI and iTheatrics to fine-tune the script, music, and materials before the rights become available to schools and theatres.
Based on Mary Poppins, the Tony Award-nominated Broadway musical that delighted audiences for more than 2,500 performances, Mary Poppins Jr. tells the story of everyone's favorite nanny, who advises that "anything can happen if you let it."
Randi Seffinger serves as Director of Mary Poppins Jr. Lisa Beth Vettoso, Aspire PAC's Artistic Director, will act as Co-Director, Choreographer, and Producer of the project.
"We feel very lucky to be part of this pilot process in partnership with MTI and iTheatrics," says Ms. Vettoso. "We have learned a great deal along the way, and it is exciting to know that our production will inform the ongoing development of Mary Poppins Jr."
Performances will take place Friday, February 3 at 8:00pm and Saturday, February 4 at 3:00pm at Westminster Arts Center, located at 449 Franklin Street in Bloomfield, NJ.
