PAUL ROBESON REMEMBERED to Play NJPAC, 11/3
Kevin Maynor's Paul Robeson Remembered has already been a hit on stage and CD - and in cooperation with Trilogy: An Opera Company, he brings this compelling musical work to NJPAC's Victoria Theater on Sunday, November 3rd at 3pm.
Tickets are $35.00 for adults - $13.00 for children, and can be purchased at www.njpac.org, by calling 1-888-GO-NJPAC or by visiting the box office at One Center Street in Downtown Newark.
This program of inspiring words and music is built on Robeson's strategic choice of repertoire, all performed by leading American bass Kevin Maynor, whose compelling performances have been acclaimed at The Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, New Jersey State Opera, and with many of the nation's top symphony orchestras. The program will also include excerpts from Robeson, a new opera composed by Adolphus Hailstork.
Programming has been made possible in part by funds from the Horizon Foundation Urban Music Series, the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, by funds from the National Endowment for the Arts, and by Discover Jersey Arts. NJPAC is a wheelchair accessible facility and provides assistive services for patrons with disabilities.
