New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents American Song!
See two legendary musical theater leading ladies - Tony Award winner Donna McKechnieand Tony Award nominee Andrea McArdle - as they team up for an evening devoted to the inimitable songs of Marvin Hamlisch and Stephen Sondheim. Since her Tony-winning breakthrough as Cassie in the original production of A Chorus Line, Donna McKechnie has developed into one of cabaret's most seasoned performers. We first met Andrea McArdle when she originated the title role in Broadway's Annie, and since then she's developed into a powerhouse interpreter of musical theater and American Songbook classics. For this intimate performance in NJPAC's Chase Room, these two song stylists will lend their vocal expertise to a collection of memorable songs by Marvin Hamlisch (A Chorus Line, The Way We Were) and Stephen Sondheim (Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods) Saturday, March 10, 2018 6:00 PM & 8:30 PM at The Chase Room.
