NJPAC Announces Donna McKechnie and Andrea McArdle in 'American Song' Concert

New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents American Song!

See two legendary musical theater leading ladies - Tony Award winner Donna McKechnieand Tony Award nominee Andrea McArdle - as they team up for an evening devoted to the inimitable songs of Marvin Hamlisch and Stephen Sondheim.

Since her Tony-winning breakthrough as Cassie in the original production of A Chorus Line, Donna McKechnie has developed into one of cabaret's most seasoned performers. We first met Andrea McArdle when she originated the title role in Broadway's Annie, and since then she's developed into a powerhouse interpreter of musical theater and American Songbook classics.

For this intimate performance in NJPAC's Chase Room, these two song stylists will lend their vocal expertise to a collection of memorable songs by Marvin Hamlisch (A Chorus Line, The Way We Were) and Stephen Sondheim (Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods) Saturday, March 10, 2018 6:00 PM & 8:30 PM at The Chase Room.

Friday, March 16, 2018 7:30 PM host Seth Rudetsky is back with Broadway's Best! An extravaganza of your favorite musical hits featuring "amahzing" singers Andréa Burns (On Your Feet!), Manoel Felciano (Sweeney Todd) and Rachel York (Victor/Victoria).

Seth Rudetsky, the On Broadway host from SiriusXM Radio and star/creator of Broadway's Disaster! The Musical, brings you his signature flair and 20 years of experience, sharing fabulous facts, scoops and gossip about the Great White Way. You'll walk away humming every song while getting an insider's look at all the backstage fun!

Andréa Burns is a Drama Desk Award winner and earned an Outer Critics Circle nomination for her show-stopping performance as Gloria Fajardo in On Your Feet! Broadway audiences know her from In the Heights, The Nance, Beauty and the Beast, The Full Monty and The Ritz. Off-Broadway, she was in the original cast of Jason Robert Brown's Songs for a New World and Stephen Sondheim's Saturday Night.

Manoel Felciano is a Tony nominee for his role in Sweeney Todd and has appeared in Broadway's Amélie, Disaster! The Musical and Cabaret. Off-Broadway credits include Changeling (Red Bull), Trumpery (Atlantic) and Shockheaded Peter. Felciano has been seen in The Outsiders at the Paper Mill Playhouse, Ragtime at the Kennedy Center, Anastasia at Hartford Stage, and Side Show at La Jolla.

A soloist who has appeared with some of the world's greatest orchestras,Rachel York is best known for her acclaimed Broadway performances in City of Angels, Les Miserables, Victor/Victoria (Drama Desk Award), The Scarlet Pimpernel and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Her film and television credits include a courageous portrayal of Lucille Ball in the CBS movie Lucy. She has appeared in Putting It Together (Manhattan Theatre Club), New York City Encores!, and Dessa Rose (Lincoln Center).
