McCarter Announces Bank of America as Sponsor for A CHRISTMAS CAROL

By:

McCarter Theatre Center is proud to announce Bank of America as the lead sponsor
for its reimagined version of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Directed by Adam Immerwahr, McCarter's new production of Dickens' holiday classic runs December 9 through 31 in the Matthews Theatre. Bank of America's generous support will enable McCarter to bring the magic of the holiday season to life for thousands of families throughout the region.

"The McCarter Theatre Center brings the spirit of the season to New Jersey residents with its imaginative rendition of A Christmas Carol," said Bob Doherty, New Jersey President, Bank of America. "Supporting cultural organizations, especially those like the McCarter Theatre, allows us to celebrate holiday traditions in a way that enriches New Jersey's diverse, thriving community by providing access to quality arts programs."

McCarter Theatre Center Managing Director Timothy J. Shields added: "We're so very grateful to Bank of America for their support, which makes it possible for tens of thousands of people from across the region to delight in this classic holiday story. We're happy to be able to share the debut of our renewed production with everyone in our community this December."

About the Production
Using David Thompson's masterful adaptation, McCarter Theatre Center is building a brand new version of Ebenezer Scrooge's magical journey through Christmas past, present, and future. Combining period-specific carols and music with state-of-the-art special effects, a cast of professional actors will be joined by robust ensemble members chosen from the greater Princeton community. Audiences will experience an immersive Dickensian environment from the opening of the theater doors to the final bows. In a new look at an annual
McCarter tradition, this exciting new production will usher you into the spirit of the season with all the joy, wonder, and generosity that Scrooge himself discovers. Cast and creative team announcement to follow as we approach the 2016 holiday season.
