Casting has been announced for the Bickford Theatre's NJ Premiere of N.J. Crisp's psychological thriller, Dangerous Obsession, to run at the Morristown Equity house April 29 through May 23, 2010.

Lisa Gunn of Basking Ridge, NJ, stars as Sally Driscoll. She has been seen on Broadway in Annie and Marvin Hamlisch In Concert. NJ credits include Our Town at Two River Theatre Company. Other regional favorites include roles at the Walnut Street Theatre, Totem Pole Playhouse, Mill Mountain Theatre, and the Weathervane Theatre.

Christopher Yates of Nyack, NY, co-stars as Mark Driscoll. He has been seen previously at the Bickford Theatre in The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940. Other NJ appearances include How I Learned to Drive at the Women's Theatre Company, Comedy of Errors at the Shakespeare Theatre of NJ, and Personals at the Forum Theatre. NY and Regional favorites include roles at the Olney Theatre Center, La Jolla Playhouse, Barrington Stage, and Schoolhouse Theatre.

Paul Mantell of Kinnelon, NJ, co-stars as John Barrett. He has been seen previously at the Bickford Theatre in Chapter Two and Communicating Doors. Other NJ appearances include The Price, A Doll's House, One Way Ticket to Hell, and A Child's Christmas in Wales at 12 Miles West. NY and Regional favorites include roles at Mill Mountain Playhouse, Riverside Shakespeare, and Ensemble Studio Theatre.

Dangerous Obsession is a riveting thriller filled with breath-catching moments and nail-biting suspense that leaves a mangled trail of revelations in its wake before the final nerve-jangling climax. A mysterious stranger arrives at the home of Sally and Mark Driscoll and suddenly they find themselves at the mercy of a ‘dangerously obsessed' man who threatens to reveal secrets that could change their lives forever. This New Jersey Premiere is being co-produced with the Oldcastle Theatre Company in Bennington, Vermont.

Dangerous Obsession is being directed by Oldcastle Theatre Company's Artistic Director, Eric Peterson. Scenic design is by Bill Auperlee. Lighting design is by Bill Motyka. Costume design is by Cindy Capraro. Props design is by Heather Sehrt. Sound Design is by Roman Klima. Yumi Matsuura serves as Stage Manager.

Performances are Thursdays at 8 p.m. (1st two weeks) and 2 p.m. (final two weeks), Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets range from $40 to $20. Lunch and dinner packages and group discounts are available.

The Bickford Theatre is a professional theatre that produces and presents year-round entertainment, including a Main Stage Series, two Children's Theatre series, and a Jazz Showcase. The theatre is a Senior Member of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance, a not-for-profit organization of 30 professional theatres throughout the state, and works in conjunction with Actors' Equity Association (AEA) and Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC).
