Gene & Shelley Enlow Recital Hall Presents STEPPIN’ OUT LIVE WITH BEN VEREEN Tonight
Gene & Shelley Enlow Recital Hall at Kean University (Enlow Hall) presents its third concert season featuring Broadway legend and Tony Award winner Ben Vereen in his hit show Steppin' Out Live with Ben Vereen. This one-night-only concert will be performed in Enlow Hall tonight, November 17th at 7:30pm.
Few entertainers today are as accomplished or versatile as Ben Vereen. His legendary performances transcend time and have been woven into the fabric of this country's artistic legacy. On Broadway, Ben Vereen has appeared in Wicked, Fosse, I'm not Rappaport, Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, Pippin, Grind, Jelly's Last Jam and A Christmas Carol. His role in Pippin garnered him both the prestigious Tony Award and the Drama Desk Award for "Best Actor in a Musical".
While performing worldwide, Ben's acting credits continue to give us memorable roles that stand the test of time such as the unforgettable Chicken George in Roots and Louis Armstrong in Louis Armstrong – Chicago Style. Ben's television guest appearances, among many, include How I Met Your Mother and Grey's Anatomy (for which he won the Prism Award). On January 30th, 2012 Ben Vereen was inducted into The Theater Hall of Fame.Enlow Hall is situated on Kean University's East Campus at 215 North Avenue, Hillside, NJ 07205. Renowned for its superb acoustics and elegant design, the newly renovated 300 - seat Hall has been praised by noted performers and patrons for its intimate ambiance and proximity between musicians and audience members.
