Exit 82 Theatre Company Brings the Arts to Downtown Toms River; Open House This Saturday

Exit 82 Theatre Company opens a brand new studio in downtown Toms River this Saturday, January 14, 2017! Stop by between 9am and 12pm to meet the board, see the space, and learn how Exit 82 is bringing the arts to downtown Toms River! Enter to win the door prize which includes two free tickets to Exit 82's production of Spring Awakening this May. Plus, register in person for Exit 82's Creative and Performing Arts Academy on Saturday morning, and the registration fee will be waived!

Exit 82's new studio will serve as the home for their Creative and Performing Arts Academy and season production rehearsals. Improvements have been introduced from their first studio on Fischer Blvd. including a new piano, dance mirrors, and dance floor, sponsored by the Jay and Linda Grunin Foundation. These additions will enhance the company's CAPA Academy, which offers arts educational classes and programs for ages four to eighteen, as well as private vocal and acting coaching for both children and adults. Registration for the spring semester will be available at the open house on Saturday, as the semester begins January 16th.

Coming up in February, Exit 82 will hold auditions for their spring production of Spring Awakening. All auditions and rehearsals will be held in the new downtown studio. Exit 82 rounds out the season with The Wedding Singer, Once On This Island Jr., and Into the Woods. All main stage performances take place at the Historic Strand Center for the Arts.

Exit 82 Theatre Company is a 501(c)3 non-profit theatre organization based in Toms River, NJ and listed on the Asbury Park Press "Best of the Best Theatre" list in Ocean County three years in a row. Since 2008, Exit 82 has involved hundreds of volunteers and performed to thousands of patrons in NJ over the past eight seasons.
