East Lynne Theater Student Workshop to Present DRACULA'S GUESTS

By:
An American family visiting Munich, decides to roam the German countryside during Walpurgis Nacht, a time when witches come out and anything can happen. They encounter a band of gypsies and others who warn them that they should be fearful about the night, but they pay no heed. What follows is spooky and fun for the whole family.

East Lynne Theater Company's much anticipated 10th Annual Student Workshop is back!

After 30 hours of theater games and rehearsal, nine students will perform "Dracula's Guests," based on a Bram Stoker story, at The First Presbyterian Church of Cape May, 500 Hughes Street, where the company is in residence. The performance is on Tuesday, July 5, at 8:00 p.m. Admission is free and families are welcome.

Directing the production is Sally Bingham, who also adapted "Dracula's Guests," believing it to be a good fit with ELTC's mainstage season since the company is producing the 1927 adaptation of Stoker's famous gothic novel, "Dracula" at the end of July. Sally just completed her fourth year as ELTC's artist-in-residence for the Wildwood after-school program, and has headed up the Student Workshop for the last three years. Assisting, is Bobby LeMaire, ELTC's production assistant, who attends University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and was in ELTC's "The Ransom of Red Chief" in 2009. Also on hand will be ELTC's artistic director Gayle Stahlhuth and technical director Lee O'Connor.

Meanwhile, ELTC's "Rodgers' Romance," created and directed by David-Michael Kenney, "DMK," with music director Charles Gilbert and four performers singing the tunes of Rodgers, Hart, and Hammerstein, continues on ELTC's mainstage through July 23, every Wednesday through Saturday at 8:30 p.m.

For information about the workshop, mainstage season, touring shows, and educational outreach, and to make reservations, call 609-884-5898, or visit www.eastlynnetheater.org.
