EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL Announces Extension
Black Box Studios proudly announces a two-show extension of its first Saturday Late Night production of its 2016-17 season, Black Box Performing Arts Center's inaugural season of professional theatre: a new production of Evil Dead The Musical, Book and Lyrics by George Reinblatt, with Music by Frank Cippola, Christopher Bond, Melissa Morris, and George Reinblatt, directed by Black Box Performing Arts Center's Artistic Director Matt Okin and Musical Directed by Managing Director/Resident MD Huey Esquire. Evil Dead The Musical will play two more Saturday nights at 11PM, on November 12 and 19 after running successfully since early October at Black Box Studios' new home, Teaneck's Black Box Performing Arts Center (200 Walraven Drive., just off Palisade Ave. (GPS: 290 Walraven Drive)), Teaneck, NJ 07666. Tickets are $18 and are available at www.blackboxpac.com. Group rates for groups of 5 or more are available by calling (201) 357-2221.
Based on Sam Raimi's '80s cult classic films, Evil Dead The Musical unearths an old, rather familiar story: boy and friends take a weekend getaway at an abandoned cabin, boy expects to get lucky, boy unleashes ancient evil spirits, friends turn into Candarian demons, boy fights til dawn to survive! The songs are hilariously campy and the show is bursting with more farce than a Monty Python skit. Camp takes on a whole new meaning in Evil Dead The Musical, an Outer Critics Circle nominee for Best New Off-Broadway Musical.
Evil Dead The Musical plays the following extended performance schedule:
Saturday, November 12th, 11:00pm
Saturday, November 19th, 11:00pm
Tickets are $18, and are now available at www.blackboxpac.com. Group rates for 5 or more are available by calling (201) 357-2221. Tickets can also be purchased at the venue; call (201) 357-2221 for hours.
Black Box Performing Arts Center is located at 200 Walraven Drive, just off Palisade Ave., Teaneck, NJ 07666 (GPS: 290 Walraven Drive).
Advisory: Evil Dead The Musical contains graphic violence against Candarian Demons and enough foul language to embarrass your grandmother ten times over. It is therefore not suitable for children under the age of 17.
