Centenary Stage Co. Announces YPW FALL REGISTRATION

Centenary Stage Company's critically acclaimed Young Performers Workshop will be holding Fall Session interviews by appointment only on Saturday August 12 and Sunday August 13 in the Little Theatre located at 400 Jefferson Street in Hackettstown.

Led by theatre, TV and film veteran Michael Blevins, the Young Performers Workshop is one of only a hand full in the nation to offer both formal training alongside practical application. The Fall Session runs 15 weeks from September 9 through December 17. The program culminates in a two-week Festival of Shows featuring two fully realized productions of American musical theatre favorites. Additionally, students of the Young Performers Workshop Fall Session will also have the opportunity to participate in Centenary Stage Company's professional main stage Family Holiday Musical, Disney's Newsies. Classes meet Saturdays by section between the hours of 10am - 6pm. Students will rehearse productions while also studying voice, dance, and acting. Registration is open to students 8 - 18 and no prior experience is required.

The Centenary Stage Company Young Performers Workshop (YPW) is a musical theatre program under the auspices of the Centenary Stage Company, a not-for-profit professional Equity Theatre Company in residence at Centenary University. YPW is dedicated to the enrichment of young lives through the use of theatre arts and serves as a greenhouse for cultivating young theatre performers. The program is one of the few that offers both formal training and production experience while designed to meet the needs of beginning, intermediate and advanced young performers. The program includes the production of two major musicals.
