"We are all affected by discrimination in some form on another. The transgender community in my eyes never gets a chance to shine, and is often times ridiculed as well as misjudged" said Christopher Annino Director of "Trans Rights are Human Rights".

Annino has spent his life standing up for the transgender community. Annino's reason for this dedication in helping the transgender community is he himself knows what it's like to be judged and ridiculed for being different "two people who I truly look up to GLAAD board member Lana Moore and supermodel/ author Caroline Cossey both of them are transgender women and all three have a special place in my heart. Caroline is one of my truest friends and I am still in disbelief I have the honor to talk to her. Caroline epitomizes true natural beauty both physical and in spiritual. She was the driving inspiration to do this documentary "Trans Rights are human rights" is her original quote" said Annino.

Another influential figure that is mentioned is Laverne Cox. CNN's Paula Lin, Folk singer Namoli Brennent, Tiffany Elizabeth from the All Transgender Rock Band Jodi Jolt and the Volt and Angelica Lace are featured in this documentary.

"I am very thankful to know Angelica Lace who stars in this and Namoli Brennent who is an amazing musician. I did this documentary in the hopes that society will understand the transgender community better and see them as the beautiful people that they are."

The film is up for several awards such as best LGBT short https://independentshortsawards.com/2018/11/30/trans-rights-are-human-rights/?fbclid=IwAR1MIjyudPF_L7xF1OEg-SAs50IprFs9K07Ph9ExmCGnethMHmvXdY275eA for the independent short film awards festival and Best LGBT film West Coast International Film Festival.

It won the 2017 Iconic Film Festival Community Outreach award.
