Broadway's Marissa Perry to Host Wayne YMCA Musical Theatre Workshop, 12/7

The Wayne YMCA is offering a Musical Theatre Workshop called "Pop/Rock Audition Technique" on Saturday, December 7 from 10:00am - 2:00pm for all ages and all skill levels.

Musical theatre has been undergoing a major change in the last decade or so. In today's world, it's imperative that performers have pop rock songs in their repertoire for auditions. This class is an amazing opportunity to work with Broadway Star, Marissa Perry (Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray, Sister Act) on a pop dance combination and pop rock audition technique!

Focus of Class:

Pop Dance Combination: Marissa Perry will teach you a pop rock dance combo similar to one you would learn at an audition

Your Pop Rock Song: Bring in 16 bars of a pop rock song you would like to use for auditions and receive feedback and coaching directly from Broadway Star, Marissa Perry and The Artistic Team

Mock Audition: Talent Manager, Stephanie Artuso of Shirley Grant Management comes in to conduct a mock audition and offer more direction and coaching.
