Broadway Theatre of Pitman Presents ON GOLDEN POND, Now thru 3/24
By: BWW News Desk
ON GOLDEN POND is set to play Broadway Theatre of Pitman, tonight, March 1-24, 2013.
You may remember the classic movie with Henry Fonda and Kathryn Hepburn - well, now's your chance to see it live on our stage. This is the love story of Ethel and Norman Thayer, who are returning to their summer home on Golden Pond for the forty-eighth year. He is a retired professor, nearing eighty, with heart palpitations and a failing memory-but still as tart-tongued, observant and eager for life as always. Ethel, ten years younger, delights in all the small things that have enriched and continue to enrich their long life together, and her character provides the perfect foil for Norman. The couple is visited by their divorced, middle-aged daughter and her dentist fiancé, who then go off to Europe, leaving a teenage son behind for the summer. What follows is a touching and funny observance of life, family and the "golden years" that follow. This play is suitable for all audiences. The production runs tonight, March 1st - March 24th 2013, Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. Special engagement on Sunday, March 17th at 7:00pm. Tickets, $28.00, May be purchased by phone at (856) 384-8381, online at www.thebroadwaytheatre.org or at the Theatre box office.
Broadway Theatre of Pitman is located at 43 S Broadway, Pitman, NJ.
