Seacoast Repertory Theatre Presents HEATHERS Screening as Part of Cult Classic Film Series, 9/17
Seacoast Repertory Theatre is proud to announce that their Award-Winning Let's "B" Reel Cult Classic Film Series will be partnering with Come Out Travel and Portsmouth Guerilla Gay Bar for a very special Back To School screening of Heathers September 17th, 2014 at 7:30PM. In true Let's "B" Reel fashion, there will be a very special pre-show by the "Queen of B's" Bunny Wonderland, and drag queen starlet Delta Miles.
"I Can't wait to work with Delta again!..." Says Knate Higgins, special series director and curator. "We have planned to pull out all the stops for an over the top hilarious Heathers themed pre-show. We don't want to give away too much, but we can say that Bunny and Delta will be playing ALL the female roles in one pitch perfectly orchestrated drag number..."
Heathers is a 1988 cult classic starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. The film explores the harsh reality of high school bullying, teen suicide and the ultimate need to fit in. Groundbreaking for its time, and considered one of the most brutality (and hilariously) honest films of its decade, Heathers continues to be a staple on the cult film circuit. Featuring some of the meanest one liners in film history, Heathers is often compared to 2004's Mean Girls.
In addition to the fabulous pre-show, Let's "B" Reel will be partnering with Come Out Travel and Portsmouth Guerilla Gay Bar for this screening. "It was a no-brainer for us..." says Steve Leonard, head of Come Out Travel, a gay travel company located here on the Seacoast. "We wanted to continue to collaborate on events together, and create a fun space for the gay community to get together."
Heathers will screen September 17th, 2014 at 7:30PM at Seacoast repertory Theatre. Bar and Lobby open at 6:30PM. Seating is limited and advance purchase is encouraged. Tickets are $10 in advance, and "Pay-What-You-Can" day of show only. Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.seacoastrep.org, by visiting the Rep Box Office at 125 Bow Street Portsmouth NH, or by calling 603.433.4472.
