The Seacoast Repertory Theatre welcomes theatre KAPOW and their production of Macbeth this Halloween weekend.

For three nights only on the Seacoast Rep stage, tKAPOW will produce a Shakespearean text and not just any Shakespearean text, but the famed "Scottish Play," Macbeth. tKAPOW has reimagined the piece using only three actors to play all of the characters and the piece will be staged on Halloween weekend. tKAPOW's critically acclaimed production was mounted last year to multiple rave reviews and awards, giving audiences who missed it a new chance to see their unique vision.

For centuries, Shakespeare's play has beguiled, intimidated, and in some cases killed the actors who dared to take it on.

"It's really exciting be be jumping back into this play," says tKAPOW founder and show director Matt Cahoon. "We've remounted a few of our productions in the past, but Macbeth is probably the most complex. No matter how many times we read it, we find new things and that's a lot of fun."

Macbeth features: Wayne Asbury (previously seen in The Zoo Story), Carey Cahoon (previously seen in Desdemona) and Peter Josephson (previously seen in The Burial at Thebes and in multiple productions on the Seacoast).

Macbeth will run Halloween Weekend, October 29, 30, and 31 at 7:30pm. Tickets are available at www.seacoastrep.org or through the Seacoast Rep box office, or by calling 603-433.4472.
