Todd Hunter has been working steadily as a theatrical director, writer, producer, and filmmaker in the Seacoast arts scene for the past 17 years. Whether it's contemporary pieces like Diana Son's "Stop Kiss" or classic stage works like Neil Simon's "The Odd Couple", Hunter filters scripts through his eye for character detail, always allowing for the resulting shows to have a unique and personal touch. Todd serves as Chairperson of the Artistic Committee on The Players' Ring Board of Directors, is the Executive Assistant at The Music Hall, and is a committee member of Piscataqua Arts & Cultural Alliance, along with previously being Technical Director on multiple shows at PPMtv.
In SEMINAR, a provocative comedy from Pulitzer Prize nominee Theresa Rebeck, four aspiring young novelists (Kyle Milner, Jessica Miller, Nate Speckman, Dominique Salvacion) sign up for private writing classes with Leonard (Matthew Schofield), an international literary figure. Under his recklessly brilliant and unorthodox instruction, some thrive and others flounder, alliances are made and broken, sex is used as a weapon, and hearts are unmoored. The wordplay is not the only thing that turns vicious as innocence collides with experience in this biting Broadway comedy. Time Out New York gave it "FIVE STARS! Sexy, savvy and uproarious!" The New York Times called it "Big laughs! An authentic rush of pleasure." and The New York Post said, "Theresa Rebeck hits plenty of bulls-eyes, so sit back and enjoy the ride".
