Players's Ring to Host Annual Producers' Meeting, 2/23

By:

The Players' Ring will hold its annual Producers' Meeting on Monday, February 23rd at 7 pm. The Producer's Meeting is for theatrical artists of all types to propose plays and performance pieces for the 2015-2016 Season including the Late Night Summer Season. Doors open at 6:30 and participants who will be pitching their projects are encouraged to arrive early to sign in and complete paperwork. Participants must bring three hard bound copies of their proposed work to leave at the Players' Ring. Participants may also make four copies of the cover sheet and complete them in advance, attaching one to each copy of their submission, and submitting the fourth cover sheet for Ring Administration. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, please visit www.playersring.org or call (603) 436 8123 and leave a message.

The Producers Meeting has become a fun-filled tradition where participants are surrounded by the interest and support of their peers and the Players' Ring community comes out to see what may be in store for the next season. Board Members and outside "judges" will hear each proposal and review them as part of the selection process. Those whose work is selected will be notified of their acceptance and once the upcoming season is finalized, those selected will take part in a Season Reveal scheduled for April 30th and must attend the Annual Auditions which will take place on May 2nd & May 9th as well as a mandatory Producer Orientation on May 30th.

The Producers' Meeting provides an excellent networking opportunity for anyone who might produce her/his own work or become involved in someone else's production.

From the beginning, the Players' Ring has promoted a varied season of published plays and original works by local and regional playwrights. Original works have been a mainstay of the Players' Ring since David Mauriello's "Body" was produced in January of 1993. As we prepare for our 24th Season, the Players' Ring has become synonymous with producing established and challenging new works by nationally known artists as well as new plays by local and regional performing artists.
