MST3K's CINEMATIC TITANIC to Play Capitol Center for the Arts, 11/7

By:

On Friday, November 9 at 7pm and 9:30pm , the Capitol Center for the Arts will present the hilarious Cinematic Titanic during their final year on tour! Featuring the original creators of Mystery Science Theatre 3000 (MST3K) live on stage, Cinematic Titanic continues the tradition of riffing "the unfathomable," "the horribly great" and the just plain "cheesy" movies from the past.

Cinematic Titanic is a feature - length movie - riffing show from Joel Hodgson, the creator of Mystery Science Theatre 3000. Cinematic Titanic features the original cast that first brought the Peabody Award - winning cult - classic series to life: Trace Beaulieu (Crow, Dr. Forrester), J. Elvis Weinstein (Tom Servo, Dr. Erhardt), Frank Conniff (TV's Frank), and Maru Jo Pehl (Pearl Forrester). The clever and inventive live commentary of the group, also known as "riffing," occurs throughout the production.

The riff light will be on as the crew goes head to head with the non-classic films Roger Corman's Wasp Woman (7pm) and The Doll Squad (9:30pm), the 1973 film that has been rumored to be the inspiration for Charlie's Angels. Founded in late 2007, Cinematic Titanic is an artist - funded and artist - owned and operated venture. With 10 feature - length DVDs and an ever - growing schedule of live shows, the CT crew is reconnecting with MSTies around the world as well as bringing new fans to the comedy art form first introduced by this group 20 years ago on television.

Single tickets for Cinematic Titanic are $45 Gold Circle $35 Orchestra/Mezzanine, and $25 Balcony. Tickets to both performances are $67.50 Gold Circle, $52.50 Orchestra/Mezzanine, and $37.50 Balcony, a 25% savings. Tickets are available by calling 603-225-1111, online at www.ccanh.com, and at the box office, located at 44 South Main Street, Concord, NH on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
