Eastern Ballet Institute Presents THE NUTCRACKER At The CCA

The Eastern Ballet Institute's production of "The Nutcracker" returns to the Capitol Center for the Arts (CCA) in Downtown Concord, NH on December 1 and 2. The show is sponsored in part by Melanson Heath.

Follow young Clara and her Nutcracker on their journey through the snow as Tchaikovsky's cherished score is played by the Southern New Hampshire Symphony and danced by Eastern Ballet Institute students and alumni.

New this year is a special pre-matinee option for "Tea and Treats" - a magical opportunity to enjoy a selection of refreshments and take photos with Clara and her Nutcracker friends in the Capitol Center's beautifully decorated Kimball House before the show begins.

Tickets for the December 1 and 2 Nutcracker performances start at just $17, plus any applicable fees for phone/Internet sales. (Additional $25 fee for "Tea and Treats"). Tickets may also obtained at the Center's box office at 44 South Main St., Concord, NH, which is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11AM to 6PM and Saturdays from 11 AM to 2PM.

Eastern Ballet Institute, LLC (easternballetinstitute.org) is committed to developing in all its students the knowledge, technical skills, and discipline necessary to reach their maximum potential as individual dancers, in a challenging, rewarding and nurturing environment. The program's core offerings consist of curricula, which through the highest quality of guidance and instruction, strengthen and refine classical and contemporary dance techniques, as well as provide scholarly inquiry into the history, musicality and aesthetics of dance. In its eleventh anniversary season, Eastern Ballet Institute offers training for ages 5 and up in classical ballet and holds several diverse performance opportunities for its students throughout the year. Many EBI alumni students now train pre-professionally with leading U.S. ballet companies and their affiliate schools. The Southern New Hampshire Symphony is a community orchestra made up of local music teachers, community members and music students at Southern NH University. Founded in 2008, this eighty-piece ensemble celebrates its 10-year anniversary in 2018. A portion of the proceeds from the Nutcracker performances will support a scholarship for Southern NH University first year student violinist Sarah Cronin.

The award-winning Capitol Center for the Arts (ccanh.com) inspires, educates, and entertains audiences by providing a quality venue for the performing arts as well as a wide range of professional-level, artistically-significant presentations. The Center is conveniently located off Rt. 93 in downtown Concord, New Hampshire and is close to several quality restaurants, shopping boutiques, and other area attractions. The facility first opened in 1927 as the Capitol Theatre, a prime stop on the Vaudeville circuit; it later became Concord's premier movie house and concert hall. After closing in 1989, it underwent a multi-million dollar renovation / modernization and reopened in 1995 as the Capitol Center for the Arts.
