The Capitol Center for the Arts was recently awarded a $25,000 Community Impact Grant by the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. The grant will help support the yearly operations of the CCA and support the growth of programs such as the new Late Night at the Spotlight series as well as main stage offerings, broadcasts from the Metropolitan Opera and the newly added National Theater of London, education programs, and community outreach efforts. Additionally the grant will provide a base of support for the Capitol Center's efforts to broaden its demographic base of audience support and grown contributed income from young professionals through the new Ghostlight Society.

Nicolette B. Clarke, the Capitol Center's Executive Director, noted that the longstanding support of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation has been instrumental to the Capitol Center since before the performing arts center opened at the site of the old Capitol Theater in 1995: "The NHCF's support allows the Capitol Center to offer an array of educational, artistic, and community-base programs that not only impact residents of Concord and the Capitol Region but also expand the horizons of children and adults throughout New Hampshire"
