Celtic Thunder brings their stylish and high-energy performance to the Capitol Center for the Arts tonight, September 29, at 7:30pm with Mythology. This performance will take audiences on a musical adventure of the past, present and future, providing a modern twist on the old Celtic storytelling tradition. Tickets start at $48 are on sale now at the Capitol Center box office, 44 South Main Street, Concord NH, online at www.ccanh.com or call 603-225-1111.

The core theme of Mythology is found in the original opening number Voices: "Voices call from the old days, voices tell from the past, ancient laws and ancient old ways to recast." It's the story of the Celtic people...their legends and their culture. It's the lifeblood of modern-day Celtic people everywhere and the influences from their Celtic past. Voicesis a collaboration between Celtic Thunder musical director/composer David Munro and world-renowned songwriter Brendan Graham, who also wrote the international hit You Raise Me Up.

The set of Mythology is as dramatic and imposing as the music itself. Modern catalyst images are projected onto ancient monolithic standing stones, a giant Celtic cross takes center stage and the tempo of the music is strongly echoed in the theatrical and mood lighting.

All six Celtic Thunder principals feature prominently in Mythology, from haunting solo numbers such as Carrickfergus, The Isle of Inisfree, Scarlet Ribbons, Katie,Carolina Rua to rousing ensembles The Boys Are Back in Town, The Star of the County Down and The Rocky Road to Dublin. There are also great original tracks that were written especially for Mythology, such as the opening number Voices, Hunter's Moon performed in the show by Ryan Kelly, and My Land, the anthem that is the show's powerful finale. In addition to the six main vocalists, the tour will also feature strings, guitar, percussion, whistles, pipes, guitars and more in the eight- piece Celtic Thunder band. The tour's musical director is David Munro, who also plays keyboards in the show.

Tickets are $88 for Gold Circle, $68 for Orchestra/Mezzanine, and $48 for balcony. Tickets are available by calling 603-225-1111, online at www.ccanh.com, and at the box office, located at 44 South Main Street, Concord, NH on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
