No less than three times was Huntress in recent years 013. And not without reason! As support of DragonForce and Lamb of God, but also on your own with a headline show in Stage01, the band left an indelible impression. And that's not strange, with the eccentric (ex-playmate) Jill Janus as a front woman. Musically the band sits in the corner of occult, grooving heavymetal inspired by Mercyful Fate/King Diamond, with witchy screams. The band has the taste nice to pack because after ' Spell Eater ' (2012) and ' Starbound Beast ' (2013) the band is currently in the studio to record a third full-length, which they will present tonight!
After tours as a support of, among others, Killswitch Engage, In Flames and Hatebreed close Battle cross itself tonight in to Huntress for their debut show in Tilburg. The band recently signed to the leading Metal Blade label and brought here their third album ' War of Will ' (2013) to off. The plate was received as one of the best modern metal plates of the past time. Take the vocals of Unearth, the intensity of The Black Dahlia Murder, the groove of the riffs of Lamb of God, Machine Head and a dash of pure oldschool American thrash metal. In short, a Wednesday evening that guarantees a solid helping of beech work!
