The Residentie Orkest, Asko |Schönberg and the Royal Conservatory in the Hague are joining forces to the most characteristic pioneers for the new music. The 75-year-old Reinbert de Leeuw wore itself some work on for this birthday concert including ' the State '.

This pioneering work of composer and friend Louis Andriessen from 1976 is a contribution to the still extremely topical debate on the relationship between music and politics. Andriessen wrote also as homage to the year old conductor a new composition that tonight in world premiere.
