The New York Philharmonic under Jaap van Zweden will perform Mahler's Symphony No. 1 in the opening concert of the festival in the Concertgebouw. The appearance will be part of the Orchestra's first European tour with Mr. van Zweden in spring 2020, the first in the Netherlands under the new Music Director, and the first performance at the Concertgebouw's Mahler Festival.

- October 06, 2015 As announced on 19 June 2015, funds advised by CVC Capital Partners ('CVC') signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in international musical and theatre group, Stage Entertainment.
It was also announced on 28 August 2015 that the former Endemol CEO, Just Spee, has been appointed as CEO of Stage Entertainment, effective from 1st September.

- October 06, 2015 Today, Peter O'Keeffe, Chief Content Officer, announced the appointment of Dan Hinde as Stage Entertainment's new Director of International Content. Dan will start in his new role on 9 November. He will support the managing directors and executive producers of each territory in long-term strategic programme planning, assisting in product choices and negotiating licences for new titles where appropriate.
Dan will focus on our licensed content side of the business while working together closely with Tali Pelman, who will continue her focus on new product development. The International Production Department under Ulf Maschek will report to Dan.
Stage Entertainment Announces Just Spee as New CEO by BWW News Desk
- August 28, 2015 Stage Entertainment has appointed former Endemol head Just Spee as the company's new CEO. Ronald van Wechem will also join Stage Entertainment, taking a position on the Board of Directors as Chief Operations Officer. With their arrival on 1 September, there will be a reorganisation of portfolios within the Board of Directors, with Peter O'Keeffe taking on responsibilities as Chief Content Officer. The fourth member of the Board of Directors is Rob Groot, who has been Chief Financial Officer since 2014.
