Schermerhorn Symphony to Welcome Mary Chapin Carpenter & Whoopi Goldberg in 2014

Schermerhorn Symphony Center announces two new concerts: Mary Chapin Carpenter and Whoopi Goldberg to perform in 2014. Acclaimed singer-songwriter Mary Chapin Carpenter will join the Nashville Symphony on January 29, performing songs from her debut orchestral record, Songs From The Movie, which will be released on January 14 and will include new interpretations of 10 beloved songs, including "Between Here and Gone" and "Come On Come On." Over the course of her career, she has recorded 12 albums and has sold more than 13 million records. With hits like "Passionate Kisses" and "He Thinks He'll Keep Her," this five time GRAMMY winner speaks to the most personal and universal of life's experiences.
