Newman, Davis Team Up for FOOL'S GAMES Cabaret, 4/1 & 4/2
Ginger Newman and Russell Davis will present Fool's Games - an evening of cabaret entertainment April 1 and 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the Keeton Theatre. Fool's Games will feature a unique arrangements of a wide array musical styles from Jazz to Swing to Broadway as well as '60s, 7'0s and '80s pop tunes all woven into a musical exploration celebrating April Fools Day.
Newman has traveled the globe as a headline entertainer on every major cruise line and is considered one of Nashville's powerhouse performers, having made her reputation with both Tennessee Repertory Theatre and Opryland USA. The Keeton Theatre's resident music director, Newman was named "best musical director" by the Nashville Scene and is a past First Night Award winner as outstanding leading actress in a musical for her performance in Tennessee Rep's Evita.
For Fool's Games, Russell Davis - one of Nashville's most accomplished keyboard accompanists and arrangers - continues his long collaboration with Newman and the pair will be joined by special guest performers: two time jazz Grammy nominee Jeff Kirk on saxophone and musician Paul Nelson on cello.
