Nashville Story Garden Joins Oz Arts To Present The Artists' Lounge: Fronteras Americanas
NASHVILLE STORY GARDEN, a producer of performing arts content and an incubator for original theatre, film and new media projects will be presenting the first OZ ARTISTS' LOUNGE of the season. OZ ARTS NASHVILLE supports the creation, development and presentation of significant performing and visual art works by leading artists whose contribution influences the advancement of their field.
FRONTERAS AMERICANAS (American Borders), is a play by Guillermo Verdecchia about geography, identity formation, and the significance of home. Searching for meaning as immigrants, the two main characters explore and challenge our ideas of Latinx stereotypes and cultural influences, while providing a historical perspective and plenty of laughs.
René Millán, an actor whose theatrical credits include Studio Tenn, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Yale Repertory Theatre, and TV/Film work appearances in 24, CSI: Miami, Chapelle's Show & In America will read both characters, creating a tour de force performance that makes us question our own identity and geography. Accompanying Millán will be classical guitarist Alexander Rockwell.
Featuring Cocktails and Drinks provided by J. Jackson: Mobile Mixologist and The Picnic Tap, and Empanadas from Que Delicias Catering, this ONE NIGHT ONLY event will take place on OCTOBER 25th at THE CORDELLE (45 Lindsley Ave, Downtown Nashville).
The Cocktail hour starts at 6:30pm, with the performance of FRONTERAS AMERICANAS beginning at 7:30. Tickets are $10.00 and available at EventBrite & www.nashvillestorygarden.org/artistslounge
