The Apr. 25 auditions for Nashville Shakespeare Festival's Shakespeare in the Park are an opportunity to watch some of Nashville's theatrical talent and be part of the Shakespearean process.

Actors will be performing two minute monologues and stand up routines, along with a showcase of their special skills and talents at the auditions for a chance to be a part of the 22 year tradition of Shakespeare in the Park. This summer's two Shakespeare in the Park plays are The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) and The Taming of the Shrew.

Auditions will be held at the Centennial Park Bandshell, located at 2600 West End Avenue. The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) auditions for adult actors are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the auditions for youth age 13 and up for The Byron & Beth Smith Apprentice Company's Shakespeare in the Park performance The Taming of the Shrew will be from 1 to 4 p.m.

Bring your family, blanket, picnic and pets to come enjoy a day at the park watching Nashville talent and a glimpse of the Shakespeare in the Park process.
