Jerry Herman's classic musical Mame is Circle Players' next production and auditions have been set for Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20.

Director Macon Kimbrough will hold auditions at Circle Player's rehearsal space in Madison (801 N. Gallatin Pike, between Due West Avenue and Old Hickory Boulevard, behind Madison Square Shopping Center). Auditions are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, and from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 20. Callbacks are slated for Tuesday, September 22, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Tulip Street United Methodist Church, 522 Russell Street, in East Nashville. All times are CDT.

These are open auditions and actors are asked to bring 16 to 32 bars of a Broadway-style song. No songs from Mame will be accepted. Piano accompanist and a CD player will be provided. Actors are asked to bring a headshot and resume, if available, and come dressed in dance apparel for a dance audition. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script and all ethnicities are encouraged to audition. Teen performers should look at least 18 years or older. One boy is needed to play a nine-year-old Patrick Dennis.

The production will run Decembe 4-19. For details, call (615) 332-7529 or visit the Circle Players website at www.circleplayers.net. You may also contact director Macon Kimbrough at macon_k@yahoo.com
