CAKE OR DEATH to Have World Premiere Engagement at Encore Theatre 3/4-3/14

Nashville playwrights Elizabeth Hayes and Anne-Geri Fann have written Cake or Death, "a modern-day farce that is a witty, rollicking, Hitchcockian, roller-coaster of a ride and fun to the last crumb," and slated for its world premiere production at Encore Theatre Company in Mount Juliet March 4-14.

Described as "a comic farce that peeks into the life of Emily and her two cohabitants, Lenore and Freedom, ghosts who passed away 22 years apart in the same apartment. As the story unfurls, Emily sheds light onto the deaths of her two cohabitants, only to find out that if they don't move quickly, she could be the next one to kick the bucket! An incredibly entertaining play about life, death, metaphysics, Shakespeare, James Dean, pot and The Wizard of Oz..." Cake or Death is directed by Bowd Beal and features Kelly Lapczynski, Ken Jackson, Daniel Vincent, Hugh Britt, Elizabeth Hayes and Anne-Geri Fann.

Cake or Death will be performed at Encore Theatre Company, 6978 Lebanon Road, March 4-14, with tickets for $15. Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday evenings, with 2:30 p.m. matinees on Sundays.
