'ANDREW JACKSON' Takes Home 10 Miss Annie Awards, Chattanooga Theatre Honors Volunteers

The Chattanooga Theatre Centre celebrated and honored volunteers both onstage and behind the scenes for the 2012-2013 season at the Miss Annie Awards held Saturday, August 17, at the CTC. Musicals took top billing at the awards, with the rock musical Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson taking 10 Miss Annie awards including Outstanding Musical production and Outstanding Stagedoor production. Legally Blonde received five Miss Annie awards and Cabaret was awarded four. Legally Blonde and Cabaret tied for Audience Favorite Spotlight production. The drama A Doll's House won six awards and was named Outstanding Spotlight Production.


Patti Gross was named Volunteer of the Year. Scott Dunlap received the Producer's Awards. Judy LaMance was honored with the President's Award.

The Chattanooga Theatre Centre celebrates 90 unbroken years of community theatre beginning next month when the musical "The Secret Garden" opens September 6.
