ACT 1 presents NIGHT OF THE IGUANA at Darkhorse 3/4-19

Audiences will find out what happens when a defrocked priest, a teenage tart and an ancient poet walk into a down-at-heels Mexican hotel in Tennessee Williams' classic play, The Night of the Iguana. Directed by Anne-Geri Fann, the play is the next offering in the 21^st season of ACT 1, the Nashville theater company that focuses on classics, both past and contemporary - and works that will one day be considered classics.

Commemorating the centennial of Williams' birth, ACT 1's production of The Night of the Iguana plays Nashville's Darkhorse Theater, 4610 Charlotte Avenue, March 4-19. Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday evenings, with Sunday matinees (March 6 and 13) at 2:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $12 and are available through www.ticketsnashville.com or by calling (615) 726-2281 beginning Sunday, February 27. ACT 1 accepts only cash and checks at the door, but Tickets Nashville accepts credit cards. Thursday evening and Sunday matinee performances are free of charge to seventh through twelfth grade students.

Fann's cast includes Jack Chambers, Robyn Berg and First Night Award winner Cinda McCain, who was named outstanding lead actress in a play for her performance as Blanche DuBois in ACT 1's production of A Streetcar Named Desire.
