25th Annual Tin Pan South Artwork Released

The Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival is partnering for the 10th consecutive year with Watkins College of Art, Design & Film for artwork to be used on all Festival marketing materials. The creative submission of Watkins student Micah Mathewson was chosen to represent the 25th anniversary of Tin Pan South, set for March 28-April 1, 2017 in Nashville.

Mathewson was raised throughout the southeast, living for the longest in southern Florida. Now working towards his BFA in Nashville, Tennessee, Mathewson integrates multiple mediums and source materials into his illustration practice. The works generated from this practice are closely tied to auxiliary explorations of photography, painting, and printmaking. Subsequent to his artmaking, Mathewson works fulltime at Eastside Music Supply and plays in the Nashville native band, Lacquer. Produced by Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), Tin Pan South reigns as the world's largest all-songwriter festival. This year, over 350 talented songwriters performed 92 shows at 10 of Nashville's top music venues. Regions Bank returns for the tenth year as the presenting sponsor of the Festival.
