“You’re free.” These words can elicit all manner of reaction: relief, a geyser of desires, a great shout, a great whisper, a dizzy spell.
“You’re free.” This is the invitation the Cinquième Salle extended to Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette and Émile Proulx-Cloutier, for three nights only.
Put together a show that is like a great leap into the unknown…
…to give way to buried impulses, craziness, experiences, and ideas that have never fit in anywhere else…
…to open a dialogue between storytelling, documentary film, theatre, song, poetry, circus arts, the absurd, politics…
…to bring about brief encounters with artists who inspire, taking them out of their comfort zones, and letting them guide us…
...and above all, to grasp this freedom head on, to use it as a driving force for creativity, and to give it to everyone there, on stage and in the hall.
