Martin R. Landry & Luc Papineau to Co-Chair Centaur Theatre Company's BON VOYAGE! Gala

Centaur Theatre Company is pleased to announce that Centaur's 12th Annual Fundraising Gala, BON VOYAGE! will be co-chaired by Martin R. Landry, Chief Commercial Officer at VIA Rail Canada and Luc Papineau, Vice- President and General Manager at Desjardins Wealth Management Securities.

Martin R. Landry is a seasoned business executive who joined VIA Rail in 2014. As Chief Commercial Officer, he oversees all customer related activities including all on-train and station services as well as Marketing, Sales and Communications for VIA Rail. He is a graduate of the University of Ottawa with an Honours degree in Finance. For Mr. Landry, community involvement is essential. He is involved as a benefactor to the arts and culture, particularly with the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. He has also been involved with The?a?tre du Rideau Vert and has participated in United Way fundraising campaigns.

Luc Papineau is an experienced leader and well known in the securities industry. For the past 15 years, he has served on boards of directors for organizations in the financial services industry, such as the Quebec section of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) and the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investment (OBSI). He is also involved in charities, serving on the board of directors of the Palliative Home-Care Society of Greater Montreal.

Since its inception, Centaur's annual Gala has raised over $1.5 million and each year brings together supporters of the performing arts for a memorable evening that showcases the joy of live theatre and performance. This year, the BON VOYAGE! Gala will be held on Tuesday, September 27th in Centaur's elegant theatre and Seagram Gallery, located in Montreal's historic former stock exchange building. The funds raised will be used to support the theatre company's professional English-language productions as well as various youth, educational and community outreach programs. Centaur employs hundreds of local artists and theatre professionals every year and plays a vital role in Montreal's cultural community. Supporters of this important event ensure that Centaur remains a leading cultural institution.

Montreal's flagship English-language theatre company, Centaur Theatre is celebrating the last show of its 47th Season of exciting theatre productions. On April 21, 2016, Centaur Theatre launched a world premier of Last Night at the Gayety by beloved Montreal Playwrights George Bowser and Rick Blue, directed by Centaur's own Artistic Director Roy Surette. Centaur Theatre encourages Montrealers to come and experience this sassy and hilarious musical, on until May 22, 2016.
