Verge Theater to Continue Fall Season with TALES FROM THE VERGE, ROCKY HORROR SHOW and ANYTHING GOES Image

After Verge Theater's completely sold-out run of The Producers in September, the company is inhaling and looking at the rest of the Fall in Southwest Montana as a time to tell some interesting stories. The stage is a unique place to share imagination, unlike a novel for instance, as the audience not only hears the words of a playwright, but also sees the interpretation of those words by others.

To celebrate the idea of shared imagination, we will unveil yet another contribution to our Tales From The Verge series Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 12-14, at 8pm. This is an exclusive opportunity to hear true stories from the lives of 5 of your fellow Bozemanites. Working with only the topic suggestion of "Something New," our performers will relinquish incredibly personal stories that vary in range: touching, funny, embarrassing, exciting, thought-provoking - and all entirely true. And to make this even more interesting, if you have a story to be told, then head to our website, vergetheater.com, to sign up for an opportunity to tell your story onstage! Tickets for Tales are $7 in advance (vergetheater.com or in person at Cactus Records) or $9 at the door.

The Bozeman Improverts are back for Improv On The Verge Monday nights. The Improverts give the biggest laugh for the fewest bucks! Guaranteed to be a hilarious start to your week. Popular Improv games are played in the style of the TV show "Whose Line is it Anyway?" as well as long-form Improv. Everything is created on the spot and based on audience suggestions. Upcoming shows are October 9 & 23 and November 6 & 20 at 7pm. Tickets for Improv are $7 in advance (vergetheater.com or in person at Cactus Records) or $9 at the door.

For the past several years, October in Bozeman has loved participating alongside Verge's Rocky Horror Show cast at Plonk Wine in downtown Bozeman for a Verge/Plonk Halloween dinner theater tradition. And this year will be no different. On Saturday, October 28, enjoy a gourmet dinner and dress up for a unique Halloween experience!! The show features all of the Rocky Horror traditions: call-outs, audience participation, costumes, and a great musical performance by a one of a kind cast! A loving homage to the classic B sci-fi film and horror genres with an irresistible rock'n'roll score, the Rocky Horror Show is a hilarious, wild ride that no attendee will soon forget. Tickets for this show will be available at plonkwine.com.

Verge works hard to offer theater for everyone, and in October it will be no different. On the Family Stage this month, Verge invites the whole family to come and be a part of a magical, medieval adventure with its production of The Sword in the Stone, the classic tale of Camelot, the Wizard Merlin, and his young student, Arthur. With the help of Merlin the Wizard, a poor boy named Arthur learns the power of love, kindness, knowledge, and bravery on his path to become one of the most beloved kings in English history. Packed with Comedy and Drama, young audiences leave feeling touched by Arthur's plight. It is an uplifting feeling that inspires young people to strive for highest levels of accomplishment. Tickets for Sword are $7 in advance (vergetheater.com or in person at Cactus Records) or $9 at the door.

And speaking of accomplishment, Verge be will be carrying on its historic tradition of producing huge musicals on a tiny stage as its incredible Teen Theater program will be challenging 6th-12th graders in November with the hilarious and madcap antics aboard an ocean liner in Anything Goes. With shows running Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 2pm, for 2 weekends from Nov. 3-12, Verge Theater is spotlighting these 25 talented teens who bring a ton of energy to their performances and leave it all on the stage!! Tickets for Anything Goes are $7 in advance (vergetheater.com or in person at Cactus Records) or $9 at the door.

Visit vergetheater.com for reservations and more information about the entire 2017-2018 Season.
